Mrs. Theodore Boes, 74, Died Monday Morning

Funeral Services Held Here This Morning at St. Bernard's Church

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard's Church in Breda for Mrs. Anna Boes, 74, of Breda, who passed away at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony's hospital in Carroll. Requiem mass was read by Fr. J.P. Hausmann. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were six grandsons.

The body rested at the Twit Funeral Home in Carroll until time of the church rites.

Her marriage took place Nov. 19, 1901, at St. Bernard's church, with the Rev. Fr. Anler officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. Boes established their home on a farm one mile north and one and one-quarter miles west of Breda. Mr. and Mrs. Boes lived on this farm until they moved into Breda ten years ago. Mr. Boes died Jan. 31, 1950.

Six sons and three daughters survive: Anthony Boes, Mrs. Matt (Philomena) Thelen and Albert Boes, Breda; Clarence Boes, Glidden; Mrs. Fred (Mathilda) Thelen, Breda; Mrs. Arnold (Rose) Ludwig, Lake City, and Edmond, Ray and Earl Boes of Breda.

Also surviving are 42 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Joe (Sophie) Koster, Mrs. John (Rose) Reising, Mrs. Elizabeth Wolterman. Mrs. Leo (Sarah) Wegman and Mrs. Susan Steinkamp, and three brothers, Clem Leo and Ed Schulte, all of Breda.

One son, Clemens Boes, and one sister, Mary Schulte, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Boes was a member of St. Bernard's church and the Christian Mothers Sodality of the parish.
