Darnella M. "Dardy" Loneman, 65, of Maple River, died Friday morning, Feb. 7, 1992, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, following a lengthy Illness.

Mass of the Christian burial was celebrated this morning, Feb. 10 at St. Francis Church in Maple River. Celebrant was Monsignor A.W. Behrens. Burial was at St. Francis Cemetery in Maple River. Lector for the Mass was Barb Imming. Gift bearers were Julie Loneman, Sarah Loneman, Heather Loneman, Jason Venteicher, Zacharina Campbell and Kimberly Julich. Mass servers were Jay Riesberg, Jeremy Heinrichs and Adrian Koester. Casket bearers were Kevin Reis, Danny Reis. Pat Reis, Allan Olerich, Jay Riesberg and Randy Williams. Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll was in charge of arrangements.

Born Jan. 22, 1927, at Breda, Mrs. Loneman was a daughter of Joseph J. and Caroline (Steinkamp) Reis. She spent her younger years in the Breda community and attended St. Bernard Schools. On Jan. 15, 1946, she was married to Lawrence Loneman at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll by Father Arthur Poeckes. Following their marriage the couple lived in California for two years and then returned to Maple River, their current home.

She was employed by the General Electric Co. of Carroll from 1972 until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of St. Francis Parish in Maple River and the Parish Ladies Guild.

Mrs. Loneman is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Zeke" Loneman of Maple River: her children; Kenneth Loneman and his wife, Barb, of Altoona, Iowa; Richard Loneman and his wife, Brenda, of Independence, Mo.; Donna Venteicher and her husband, Ron, of Carroll; Diane Campbell and her husband, Zach, of Maple River; Nancy Julich and her husband, Ray, of Lakeside, Iowa; and Gerald Loneman and his wife, Becky, of Omaha, Neb.; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She is also survived by her brothers, LaVerdos Reis and his wife, Luella, of Auburn; Delmar Reis of Odebolt; and Joseph Reis and his wife, Helen, of Coon Rapids; her sisters, Lorraine Killeen of Churdan; Janice Huisenga of Carroll; Betty Williams and her husband, Louis, of Carroll; Ila Mae Riesberg and her husband, Harold, of Halbur and Karen Reis of Des Moines; and her mother-in-law, Frances Loneman, of Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eunis and Myron.
