from the funeral card provided by Sharp Funeral Home Service, Breda, Iowa Edgar Schulte died Sunday, May1, 1994, at his residence in Breda, Iowa, of an apparent heart condition at the age of 82. Edgar was born on September 18, 1911, at Breda, Iowa, the son of Leo and Catherine (Boes) Schulte. He married Elva Ludwig on August 17, 1937, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel, Iowa. The couple farmed northeast of Breda until their retirement in 1973. Edgar was a member of St. Bernard Parish, the Breda Senior Citizen Club, and the Secular Franciscan Order of the St. Bernard Fraternity. He is survived by his wife, Elva; children Gerald (Peg) Schulte, Bob (Jan) Schulte, Mary (Orville) Eich, Wayne Schulte, Eldon Schulte, Linda (LaVerne) Pierce, Jim (Sue) Schulte, John Schulte, Steve (Peg) Schulte, LouAnn (Dennis) Vulgamott, and Sharon (Dan) Snyder; 25 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Schulte, Urban (Joan) Schulte, and Herbert (Marlys) Schulte; and his sister, Hilaria Pick. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Shirley Ann Schulte; two grandsons; and a brother, Donald Schulte.
