BREDA—Hendrina A. Boes, 95, of Breda, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.

Mass of the Christian burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breda with the Rev. James McAlpin presiding. Lectors will be Mrs. Boes' grandsons: Jeff and Nic Milewski. Gift bearers will be granddaughters: Carol Lewis and Linda Wylers. Soloist will be granddaughter April Schmitz. Eucharistic minister will be Dale Tiefenthaler.

Casket bearers will be grandsons: David Tiefenthaler, Jeff Milewski, Nic Milewski, Bruce Boes, Russell Boes and Brian Hughes. Honorary casket bearers will be members of the Breda Catholic Order of Foresters.

Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery at Breda.

Visitation starts at 3:30 and the St. Bernard Ladies Guild and Breda Foresters will lead a rosary at 4 Friday afternoon at Sharp Funeral Home in Breda. St. Bernard Parish will hold a Christian wake service at 7 Friday night at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Anthony Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers.

A daughter of Fred and Ida (Venner) Seuntjens, she was born on Feb. 1, 1913, at Danbury, spent her younger years there and attended St. Mary School.

She and Albert Boes were married Jan. 30, 1934, at St. Mary Church in Danbury.

They farmed northwest of Breda until 1973 then moved into Breda.

Mrs. Boes was a homemaker and helped her husband in the Boes Construction/Stormor Grain Equipment business until their retirement in 1987.

They traveled to many foreign countries and spent wintered in southern Texas for 27 years.

Mrs. Boes was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Ladies Guild and a charter member of the Breda Foresters. She enjoyed baking, gardening and sewing.

Survivors include four children: Leon Boes and wife Margie of Breda, Verna Tiefenthaler and husband Rollin of Carroll, Lyle Boes and wife Fran of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Carleen Milewski of Humboldt; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Seuntjens, and his wife, Mary, of Mapleton; and a sister, Mary Thuma, of Lexington, Mich.

Mrs. Boes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert, in January 2002; a granddaughter, Julie Tiefenthaler; a son-in-law, Larry Milewski; six brothers: Siebert, John, Vincent, Lawrence, Andrew and Leo Seuntjens; and two sisters: Cornelia Irlmeier and Silvina Dirksen.
