Patricia Ann Rueter Mueggenborg was born in Okarche, Okla., on Dec. 26, 1932, and passed away in her home on Sunday, May 8, 2011.

A wake service and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church celebrated by Rev. Stephen V. Hamilton and Deacon Terry Rice. Burial will follow in the Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.

Patricia was the fifth of six children born to John and Anna Rother Rueter.

She grew up in Okarche and graduated from Holy Trinity High School.

She married James M. Mueggenborg on Nov. 18, 1952, and moved to a farm northeast of Kingfisher where they farmed and raised their family.

Patricia enjoyed baseball, fishing, gardening and quilting, but the love of her life was her church, her husband, her nine children, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was active in all facets of her church and the school.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years, James of the home; daughter, Mary Beth Carter of Oklahoma City; son, Stephen Mueggenborg and wife Lynda of West Salem, Wisc.; daughter, Ann Finley and husband Dean of Kingfisher; daughter, Joan Brown and husband Don of Chickasha; daughter, Susan Donnelly and husband Chris of Tonganoxie, Kan.; son, Jim Mueggenborg and wife Marsha of Kingfisher; daughter, Teresa Kadavy and husband Kem of Stillwater; son, Chris Mueggenborg and wife Tracy of Kingfisher, and daughter, Janet Pennington and husband Ron of Kingfisher; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Antoinette Lodes of Okarche and Mary Kraus of Oklahoma City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Joseph and sisters, Elizabeth and Barbara.

Memorials may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Altar Society, Russell-Murray Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
