MRS. JOE WITTROCK DIED IN OKLAHOMA

Underwent Operation for Appendicitis August 20th -- Husband and Seven Children Survive

BORN AND RAISED NEAR HERE

Henry Nieland received the sad news here Monday of the death of his daughter Mrs. Joe Wittrock of Okarche, Oklahoma, who passed away early Monday morning, following an operation for appendicitis which she underwent Tuesday, August 20, at a hospital in El Reno.

Rose Nieland, a daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Henry Nieland, was born February 20, 1895, on a farm near Breda. In the spring of 1916 she was united in marriage to Joe Wittrock of Okarche, Okla., and they moved to Oklahoma to make their home.

She is survived by her husband, five sons, and two daughters, her father, Henry Nieland, six brothers, and six sisters who are: Frank, Will, Ben, Joe, Louis, and Herman Nieland; Mrs. Margaret Mueggenborg of Okarche, Okla.; Sister M. Sigmunda and Sister M. Florina of LaCrosse, Wis.; Mrs. Arthur Braun of Alton, and Mrs. J. J. Wittry of Lidderdale.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nieland and son, B.A. Nieland and Louis Nieland of this place, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Wittry of Lidderdale and Mrs. Arthur Braun of Alton left Monday for Okarche to attend the funeral which was held this morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Wittrock and children visited here for a week about three weeks ago.
