Scott Edward Borelli, 49, formerly of Kingfisher, died Feb. 11, 2011, in the mountains of Utah he loved.

Funeral Mass was held Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kingfisher, followed by burial in the Kingfisher Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Scott was born Nov. 20, 1961, in Oklahoma City to Gerry and Linda Borelli.

He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School through eighth grade and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1980. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

He was employed at Brown & Borelli of Kingfisher for a number of years before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Scott was an avid skier who loved to hunt and ride his motorcycle or four-wheeler through the mountains.

The light of his life was his son, Sean, 13, of Kingfisher. He loved his son and family, and his family loved and prays for him. Scott was a passionate man. He is missed.

He is also survived by his mother and two brothers, Greg Borelli and his wife, Vaynna, and Chris Borelli and his wife, Kay; nephews, Grant, Trey, Tyler and Kyle Borelli; nieces, Hannah and Miranda Borelli, all of Kingfisher; aunt, Barbara Brown and husband Pete of Oklahoma City, and cousins, David, Daniel and Kerry.

He was preceded in death by his father; infant brother, Steven; paternal grandparents, George and Nadine Borelli; maternal grandparents, Max and Fern Stange, and uncle, Max Stange Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Altar Society, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or a charity of their choice.
