Troy Lynn Eischeid 1969-1996

Rite of the Christian burial for Troy Lynn Eischeid will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1996 at St. Patrick Church in Bayard. Burial will be in the Highland Township Cemetery in Bayard.

Mr. Eischeid, 26, of Bayard, died Friday, Jan. 12, 1996, at his home.

Father David Fenelon will officiate the Mass. Lector will be Mark Eischeid. Mass servers will be Shadam and Shaymus Smith.

Casket bearers will be Wade Derry, Ken Laughery, Dean Hopkins, Todd Carrick, David Smith and Brent Betts. Honorary casket bearers will be Mark Eischeid and Errek Jett.

A son of Leon and Cheryl (Hebing) Eischeid, he was born Sept. 1, 1969, at Guthrie Center. He grew up in Bayard and graduated from Coon Rapids-Bayard High School in 1988. After graduation, Mr. Eischeid entered the United States Marie Corps, where he served in Desert Storm and attained the rank of corporal in satellite communications.

On April 28, 1990, he married Melissa Hay at Bayard. During the fall after his honorable discharge in June 1992, Mr. Eischeid entered Iowa State University, earning a degree in biology/pre-med. At ISU, he was elected to Phi Kappa Phi honor society and was a member of the Golden Key Club scholastic honorary.

He was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Bayard, the American Legion of Ames and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa, of Bayard; two children: Jacob Troy and Hayley Melissa, both at home: his parents, Leon and Cheryl Eischeid of Bayard; brothers and sister: Travis Eischeid and his wife, Brenda, of Bayard, Thaine Eischeid and his girlfriend, Rachel, of Ames, Tara Eischeid of Bayard, Tandem Eischeid of Bayard and Jessica Hofbauer of Coon Rapids; two nephews; his grandparents, G.J. and Leona Eischeid of Bayard and Verda and Leo Hebing of Oakland; His parents-in-law, Nyle and Sandra Hay of Bayard.
