Elizabeth Steinkamp (Thobe) 1907-1986 Carroll Times Herald, October 1986 MOUNT CARMEL—Mrs. Andrew (Elizabeth) Thobe, 79, died Monday at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll. Mass of the Christian Burial will be a 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mount Carmel with the Rev. Michael Larkin as celebrant. Casketbearers will be Donald Kramer, James Steinkamp, Richard Steinkamp, Kenneth Steinkamp, Robert Steinkamp and Roger Eischeid. Gift bearers will be Rebecca Flug and Sue Thobe and the cross bearer will be Bill Thobe. Mrs. Thobe was born on July 1, 1907, at Breda, the daughter of Ferdinand and Mary Nieland Steinkamp. She was married to Andrew Thobe at St. Bernard's Church in 1930. Mrs. Thobe is survived by two sons, John Thobe and his wife, Livonia, of Mount Carmel, and Marvin Thobe and his wife, Bernice, of Audubon; and three sister, Mary Kohorst of Arcadia, Agnes Eischeid of Manning and Theresa Kramer of Glidden. She was preceded in death by her husband, and five brothers, Anthony, Leonard, Fred, Joe and Walter Steinkamp. She was educated in Breda and was a member of the Mount Carmel Alter Society.
