Frank Steinkamp Dies
Funeral Service Held In Arcadia

Frank Steinkamp, Arcadia farmer died at 6:45 p.m. February 8, 1950 at St. Catherine's Hospital in Omaha, where he had been a patient for treatment for three weeks. Mr. Steinkamp, 55, had been ill for four years.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at St. John Church in Arcadia with Rev. Matt Stork officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Steinkamp, son of Ben and Elizabeth Boes Steinkamp was born October 17, 1894 in Viola Township near Wall Lake. He attended school at St. Bernard School in Breda.

He was married May 24, 1916 to Emma Damm at St. Bernard's Church in Breda by Rev. Luerhsman. Mr. and Mrs. Steinkamp have harmed in this community since their marriage. They have lived in their present home west of Arcadia since 1929.

Surviving with his wife are eight children: Merlin Steinkamp, Raymond Steinkamp, Melvin Steinkamp, Arcadia. Mrs. Rollin (Cleone) Evers, Mrs. Wilfred (Virginia) Wernimont, Vail, Leota, Lorne, Neva at home.

He also leaves three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Joe Reis (Caroline), Theodore Steinkamp, Mrs. Frank Thobe (Julie), Lawrence Steinkamp, Mrs. Paul Terlisner (Connie).

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mrs. Tony Ludwig (Ida) and a sister and brother in infancy.

He was a member of St. John Church and Holy Name Society.
